Houben <em>et al.<\/em> (<a style=\"font-size: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/ecgp.anuvaak.in\/ecgp.php\">ECPG<\/a> 1.0 see below) is supplementary material to <em>L&#8217;Inde classique<\/em> section VIII.1.a 1519-1532 on the Sanskrit grammarians. This section written by Louis Renou which appeared in 1953 contains no reference to the Prakriy\u0101-sarvasva by the brilliant and versatile author N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a Bha\u1e6d\u1e6da of Melputt\u016br (17th century). However, Louis Renou was at that time already well aware of this grammar, since we read in the Preface to S. Venkitasubramonia Iyer&#8217;s <em>N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47abha\u1e6d\u1e6da&#8217;s Prakriy\u0101sarvasva; a critical study<\/em>, which apeared in Trivandrum at the University of Kerala in 1972, the following: &#8220;Then I conceived the idea of studying the entire work &#8230; which I was encouraged to pursue by the well known Indologist Prof. Louis Renou, when he visited Trivandrum in 1948.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the nature and importance of the Prakriy\u0101-sarvasva we can now also refer to:<\/p>\n<p>J.E.M. Houben <a href=\"https:\/\/halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr\/halshs-01413909\/document\">&#8220;P\u0101\u1e47inian grammar of living Sanskrit: features and principles of the Prakriy\u0101-Sarvasva of N\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a Bha\u1e6d\u1e6da of Melputt\u016br,&#8221;<\/a> Bulletin d&#8217;Etudes Indienns (BEI) vol. 32 (2015), pp. 149-170.<\/p>\n<p>E-Concordance P\u0101\u1e47inian grammars: <a style=\"font-size: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/ecgp.anuvaak.in\/ecgp.php\">ECPG<\/a>.01<\/p>\n<p>The concordance allows students and specialists of P\u0101\u1e47inian grammars to find back the place of a rule or s\u016btra in the eight books of grammatical rules of P\u0101\u1e47ini, the A\u1e63\u1e6d\u0101dhy\u0101y\u012b (AA), in one of the two rearranged grammars (and vice-versa): the well-known and widely studied Siddh\u0101nta-kaumud\u012b (SK) and the largely and unduly neglected Prakriy\u0101-sarvasva (PS). The place of a rule or s\u016btra in each of these three grammars is highly significant, as it provides information on the interpretation and function of a certain rule in the entire grammar.
